In Japanese mythology, Kamiyo refers to the period before the reign of Emperor Jimmu (before 660 BC). It means that it has been sleeping since ancient times, and it is said that this tree was buried alive for thousands of years without rotting in a precious environment that was created by chance due to natural disasters. It is accidentally mined due to land development, etc., and is used for decoration of high-end Japanese architecture and the production of crafts. Because it was buried in the ground containing a lot of volcanic ash for a long time, products made from it have a different color than normal cedar.
